Scored at record trade fair
There could not have been a better occasion for starting the anniversary year: at FachPack the Kunert Group celebrated the 125th anniversary of Paul & Co – the cornerstone everything started with for the company – and the innovation and passion with which packaging is settled in the daily work life. At the open, shared stand that combined the Kunert Group’s companies under one roof, guests could impressively convince themselves about that and could establish new contacts, talk about product requests and enhance consisting partnerships in numerous discussions during the three days of the fair.
All-round performance, all-round result
40 experts from competence areas paper cores, edge protectors, packaging made from corrugated cardboard and core board have had numerous talks like that – and received constructive feedback for their work and their performance. At the end of the last exhibition day it became clear for the Kunert Group once again: Satisfied customers are the best balance a trade fair can accomplish. The Kunert Group organised a party at the stand to say thank you to its customers and the team members for a successful FachPack and the good one-to-one conversations.
Outstanding innovation: wound goods packaging in honeycomb structure
Inspired by nature, Kunert Wellpappe put an idea into practice which was awarded quite justifiably with second place at the Innovation Award of the association of the German corrugated cardboard industry: a novel, hexagonal thread spool packaging for extremely delicate products. Its surprising dimensions attracted many curious glances and immediately got interested visitors to communicate with each other. Thus, creating new shapes and entering new paths has been worthwhile for Kunert Wellpappe in manifold ways.
Recurring event, which is worth it: the UPM Supplier Award
Already for the seventh time, Paul & Co received the award for best supplier in the field of packaging from its long-standing customer UPM Paper. The award was solemnly presented at FachPack - and was a clear sign for the cooperative relationship which has connected the two companies for years.
Climate protection for straight cores: Climate Core
In order to protect paper cores from climatic influences like fluctuating temperatures and high or low humidity, Paul & Co has significantly increased the resistance by means of a special barrier layer. By using CC cores, especially paper mills will maintain safe processing of their paper products in the future.
